The Hairlingo for the month of March 2010

Yes It's Millie reporting from the Hairzzoo. I am back again. This time
outraged at the maternal inducement of bad hair habits inflicted upon little
girls of color. Marcus Garvey's advice to the people who are blessed with
naturally strong hair, is still being ignored by the masses. That advice
being "don't take the kink out of your hair----take the kink out your brain".
A walk to the local primary public school today revealed an astonishing
revalation to my already fed up soul. I passed several of these girls in
the halls of the school, so many that I began to secretly count them. When
I got to fifteen I stopped counting. What they had in common was that they
all had weaves and/or extensions in their hair. Little girls from grades 3-7
are now just as weavy as their mother's are. I have a few concerns.
My first concern is that these little girls are now beginning to look like
teenage girls.
My second concern is that the amount of hair exceeds the normal weight limit
that should be on top of a childs head.
And lastly, my concern is that the mothers are now inflicting the same type
of damage to their daughter's hair, and brains that they expensively impose
upon themselves. Little girl's with baby voices are being taught how to
"take that little burn when it's still in the tingle stage", almost
threateningly adding, "if you want it to get real straight".

| If the "I pledge Obama video, causes controversy in the Anglo community,it should cause outrage in the African community! You can view the video here. It seems that the point of contention is that Demi Moore says she pledges to be a servant to the president. Well I can see where that could be a problem with some people. The real issue as I see it is what some of the African's (here after called lost souls) in the video are pledging.
