Future Wearables

Intel unveils button-sized Curie module to power future wearables

Intel has today unveiled Curie, a low-powered module no bigger than a button, as part of its vision to lead in the wearables field. Company CEO Brian Krzanich announced the module, which will be built on a tiny new chip called the Quark SE, during his keynote at CES in Las Vegas — a year on from announcing the Intel Edison platform.

The module incorporates the low-power 32-bit Quark microcontroller, 384kB of flash memory, motion sensors, Bluetooth LE and battery-charging capabilities in order to power the very smallest of devices. Intel is hoping Curie will prove the flexible solution designers need to create wearables such as rings, pendants, bracelets, bags, fitness trackers and even buttons.

What Is That?

From :http://thevictoryreport.org

I saw this video on the victoryreport and because I saw another photo of a man on Mars that look to me like a rock I didn’t give this one to much attention until I saw the smooth walls on the structure in the picture! That rung a bell, No really I heard something! OK, not really. But it is very interesting. The only problem I have with it is, how did NASA miss that? OK, we all know they are hiding something, And they know we know it. So what’s up?

NASA Chief Scientist Ellen Stofan states: Here

“I think we’re going to have strong indications of life beyond Earth within a decade …I think we’re going to have definitive evidence within 2030 years.”

“We’re on the verge of things that people have wondered about for millennia. Within all of our lifetimes we’re going to understand that there is life on other bodies in the solar system. We’re going to understand the implications of that for life here on Earth.”

Game Changer ?

From SHTFplan.com

The world of self defense is about to change dramatically. Where today someone has the ability to protect themselves from perpertrators carrying a firearm or knife, we now sit on the cusp of the future of personal defense weapons systems. Laser technology has been around for quite some time, but in terms of destructive power has been pretty much restricted to the military realm.

All of that has now changed, as demonstrated by a young do-it-yourselfer going by the Youtube moniker styropyro who recently built a powerful laser device in his garage. Dangerous is an understatement for this thing. There’s no, no good reason for anybody to own something this powerful. But because it wasn’t illegal for me to build, I decided to build it anyway.

SecondHands A.I. (machine learning)

From : Wired.com

An ambitious robotics project that combines artificial intelligence, machine learning and advanced sensors to understand and assist humans in real time could be truly “revolutionary”, according to the team working on it. The SecondHands humanoid, being developed for online supermarket Ocado, could soon be helping factory engineers fix mechanical faults and even learn on the job.

The robot will be completely autonomous and should be able to help with everything from fetching tools to holding objects and even assisting with cleaning and engineering tasks. The project is a collaboration between the technology arm of the online supermarket and four universities across the European Union. The robotics team at Ocado Technology believe it could become “the most advanced assistive robot in the world”.

What are Solarstorms?

Solar Storms: Sometimes the most beautiful natural phenomena can have devastating consequences. When the sun ejects hot charged particles into space, the Northern Lights are created here on Earth. Occasionally the sun erupts with huge quantities of particles (Coronal Mass Ejection) that can damage the earth’s electric systems. Renowned author Mat Stein and Arnie Gundersen discuss the dangers of a large coronal mass ejection on the electrical grid and on nuclear plants worldwide. — See more at: http://www.fairewinds.org/solarstorms…
